Vol. 178 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Rearrangement of Mayo Lands.

20.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the position regarding rearrangement of land in the townlands of Emlagh, Dooghmakeon and Roonagh, County Mayo.

The holdings in Emlagh were rearranged in 1940 and vested in the tenants in 1955.

The holdings in Dooghmakeon were resold unaltered in 1955 and subsequently vested. Enlargements for some of these holdings were provided last year and further additions will be allotted as circumstances permit.

As regards Roonagh a preliminary survey has already been carried out, and provided the necessary co-operation from the tenants is forthcoming, early rearrangement proposals will be formulated for this townland.
