Vol. 178 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Improvements to Boherbue (Cork) National School.

31.

asked the Minister for Education what proposals have been made to his Department by the Office of Public Works on the proposed improvements to be carried out to Boherbue national school, County Cork.

The Commissioners of Public Works have furnished to my Department a scheme for the improvement of Boherbue boys' and girls' national schools. The scheme provides for the erection of a new sanitary block, playshelters, fuel stores, and for a rearrangement of the existing floor space so as to provide four classrooms and cloakroms. As the averages now warrant the appointment of a third teacher in the boys' school, it has become necessary to amend the scheme so as to provide five classrooms instead of four.

The Commissioners of Public Works have been asked to have the revised plans prepared as soon as possible.
