Vol. 179 No. 1

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business in the following order: Nos. 1 to 6, inclusive, 8, 12, 10 and 13. Private Members' Business will be taken at 9 o'clock.

Is it possible to give us any indication when the Book of Estimates will be published?

We hope to have it in the hands of Deputies on Saturday, 4th March, at the latest. I hope we will be able to take it on the following Wednesday.

It might be possible to get it before then?

I wish to give notice, Sir, that I would like to raise the subject matter of Question No. 40 on today's Order Paper on the adjournment.

I should like to give notice that I wish to raise the subject matter of Questions Nos. 47 and 51 on today's Order Paper.

I shall communicate with the Deputies.

Are we likely to take No. 16 this week?

I do not think so. The Deputy will be aware that a number of amendments were circulated by the Minister for Justice yesterday and Deputies, I presume, would wish to have an opportunity to consider them fully.

Are there more Ministerial amendments to come?

Possibly. I would not like to commit myself.

Could it be arranged, as there are so many amendments, that they would be all printed in a Green Paper tomorrow, even if that Green Paper has to be taken back and revised next week? It is impossible to keep track of all the numerous provisional ones circulated.

That will be done.

Could the Taoiseach give us any indication of the business to be taken tomorrow?

Subject to the completion of the business today and to the agreement of the House there will be the Finance (Excise Duties) Amendment Bill and the Fluoridation of Water Supplies Bill.
