The 14-day test is a more severe test than that used for the purposes of accreditation under the Bovine Tuberculosis Eradication Scheme, but it is the test which the British authorities require at present in the case of store cattle imported into Britain which are not of accredited status. We cannot, therefore, substitute another type of test.
