Vol. 181 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Crumlin-Drimnagh Fire Brigade Station.

16.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he has received from the Dublin Corporation any plans for the provision of a fire brigade station in the Crumlin-Drimnagh area; and, if so, if he will state the nature of such plans; and when work on the erection of the station is likely to commence.

Preliminary plans submitted to the Department by the Dublin Corporation for the provision of a fire brigade station at Dolphin's Barn, to serve the Crumlin-Drimnagh area, have been approved. The plans provide for housing one major fire appliance and one ambulance together with living accommodation for fire brigade personnel. I understand that detailed plans and other contract documents are in course of preparation by the Corporation. I am not in a position to say when work is likely to commence.
