Vol. 183 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dredging of Greencastle Harbour.

3.

asked the Minister for Finance if he can now state when the work of dredging Greencastle harbour, County Donegal, will begin.

The usual form of agreement was forwarded to the Donegal County Council on 30th April, 1960. The Council have been in correspondence with the Commissioners of Public Works in regard to some of the provisions of the agreement and have not yet approved of its terms.

When the agreement has been completed by the County Council the works will be commenced.

Is it not a fact that the Parliamentary Secretary is to spend £50,000 in Greencastle this year?

That is a separate question.

It would have something to do with the dredging of the harbour there.

Many things might be connected with the dredging of the harbour and would not arise relevantly on the Question.

There always seems to be a fog or a mist about this money voted for Donegal.
