Vol. 183 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - School Classes in Dublin.

16.

asked the Minister for Education the total number of schools in the Dublin area in which there is a class of 40 or over, 50 or over, 60 or over and 70 or over.

The information supplied annually by the schools to the Department gives the number of pupils according to standards but does not show the division of standards into classes. Particulars are, therefore, not available as to the number of pupils in separate classes under each teacher. Accordingly, I regret that I am not in a position to furnish the information sought by the Deputy.
