Vol. 183 No. 14

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take Business in the following order: Nos. 8, 9, 4, 5, 6 and 2. It is proposed that consideration of Government Business be not interrupted to take Private Members' Business.

I desire to raise on the adjournment the subject matter of Question No. 12 of yesterday, 19th July.

I shall communicate with the Deputy.

Has the Taoiseach anything in mind about the disposition of business today? Has the matter been considered of the desirability perhaps of sitting not later than midnight?

I gathered the intention of the Whips was to consult together on that after the first item had been disposed of. So far as we are concerned if it should be the wish of the House to complete the business today by sitting later we are agreeable.

It can be discussed with the Whips.

I wish to raise the subject matter of Question No. 14 on today's Order Paper.

That is good. Having voted for it.

(Interruptions.)

It is of national importance to the people of County Dublin.

Would Deputy Lynch give way to Deputy Burke on this occasion? I should like to hear Deputy Burke on that.

I will. If necessary I shall give way to Deputy Burke.

I do not know whether it is necessary or not.

I shall communicate with you, sir.

What happens if Deputy Burke withdraws?

He would never do that.
