Vol. 185 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Off-Street Parking Facilities.

14.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he will take steps to have financial assistance granted by the Government to assist local authorities in cities and towns to provide off-street parking facilities in view of the need to stop the waste of manpower and money entailed by traffic delays and congestion.

It is intended to make enabling provision in forthcoming road traffic legislation for financial assistance to local authorities towards the cost of providing off-street car-parking facilities.
