Vol. 185 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Corporation Dwellings: Orders for Possession.

20.

asked the Minister for Justice the average number of orders for possession of Dublin Corporation dwellings granted to the Corporation annually by the District Courts over the last three years.

Is the Minister aware that recently a woman was arrested and charged with contempt for protesting in court on one of these occasions that there was no justice in the court?

That is a separate matter.

That number of 4,458 orders is proof that there is no justice. The district justice has no discretionary powers in this matter.

The Deputy is not asking a question.

If there is a demand for possession, the justice cannot say "No".

Will the Deputy resume his seat?

I am entitled to kick up as much as any other Deputy; some of them are always kicking up.
