Vol. 186 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Use of Shannon Airport.

23.

andMr. McQuillan asked the Minister for Transport and Power whether representations have been received from any of the world passenger air line companies at present using Shannon to over-fly the airport and to land at Dublin only; if so, whether the Government have considered these representations; and what action they propose to take in relation to them.

No recent representations have been received from any of the world airlines for the operation of transatlantic air services direct to Dublin. The other parts of the Question therefore do not arise. I may say, however, that there has been no change in Government policy in this matter.
