Vol. 186 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Irish Jet Aircraft Fuel.

24.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power whether it is intended to ensure on grounds of safety that the Irish jet aircraft use the less inflammable paraffin fuel.

I am informed by Aerlínte that the current contract for the supply of fuel for jet aircraft provides that Kerosene (J.P.I.) shall be made available at all scheduled points of operation.

I am satisfied that safety considerations in this question and in all other aspects of its operations are and always have been of paramount importance to the company.
