Vol. 186 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - River Shannon Obstructions.

25.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power if he is aware that the Electricity Supply Board is not carrying out its statutory obligation to keep the Shannon clear of obstructions, and that the Shannon between Corbally and Castleconnell has been allowed to become overgrown with weeds and trees; and what action he proposes to take in the matter.

I am not aware that the Board is failing to carry out any statutory obligation; if the Deputy will indicate the statutory provision he has in mind I will have enquiries made in the matter.
