Dáil Éireann debate -
Thursday, 9 Feb 1961

Vol. 186 No. 2

Business of Dáil.

Might I inquire of the Taoiseach what are the sitting days next week?

Wednesday and Thursday.

Would I be in order in asking a question at this stage? There have been regular complaints by members behind me on this side of the House that they are never certain of what is being said and are, therefore, prevented from taking part in the debate. Some attention should be given to such a serious matter. I am not saying that I am more deaf than any other members, but the fact remains that they are unable to take part in the debate.

I feel that is a matter for the Committee on Procedure and Privileges.

Whoever is responsible ought to do something about it.

The Deputy is not in order in making this speech.

If the Deputy took his seat over here, he could hear.

Or over here.

I am not deaf.
