Vol. 186 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry School Accommodation.

59.

asked the Minister for Education whether he is aware of the very bad state of repair of Rahavaring School, County Kerry; and if in view of the urgency of providing proper accommodation for the schoolchildren he will state when the erection of the new school will commence.

I am aware of the defective condition of the existing National School at Rahavarig, Co. Kerry. The Commissioners of Public Works have furnished sketch plans for the erection of a new school. My Department is in communication with the Reverend manager in regard to certain arrangements which have to be made before a grant towards the cost of the erection of the school can be sanctioned. I am unable to say at present when the erection of the new school will commence.
