Vol. 186 No. 7

Army Pensions (Increase) Bill, 1961—First Stage.

Leave granted to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to increase retrospectively certain pensions and allowances payable under the Army Pensions Acts, 1923 to 1960.—(Minister for Defence).

When are these to be circulated?

To-morrow.

Does that really mean to-morrow or the sort of "to-morrow" that the Minister for Finance had the week before last?

It certainly will be to-morrow.

I think it would be preferable to order them for 7th March as the House will be meeting on that Tuesday. They may desire to give the whole day on Wednesday to the Supplementary Estimates to be ordered for the 7th.

Provided to-morrow really means "to-morrow."

They are formal Bills?

The pensions are already being paid.

Second Stage ordered for Tuesday, 7th March, 1961.
