Vol. 187 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - River Lee Fishing Rights.

24.

asked the Minister for Lands what is the upward limit of tidal waters in the River Lee; in whom is vested the right of fishing the River Lee from Blackrock Castle to the upward limit of tidal waters; and if Cork Corporation have any rights of ownership in the said fishing.

The tidal and freshwater boundary of the River Lee is defined as the weir or dam at the Waterworks, Cork, known as the Waterworks Weir.

I am not in a position to answer the remainder of the question. I have, of course, no functions in matters of ownership of fishing rights.
