Vol. 188 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Division of Wicklow Lands.

32.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Forestry Division of his Department offered any portion of the Murphy holding, Knocknaboley, Hollywood, County Wicklow, to the Land Commission for distribution amongst uneconomic holders in the area and, if so, with what results.

This 400 acre mountain holding includes some 13 acres of light arable land and before it was purchased by the Forestry Division the Land Commission had decided not to acquire any portion of it for their purposes.

In view of recent representations I propose to ask the Land Commission to have another look at the arable portion.
