Vocational Schools:
County Limerick:
(1) Kilmallock: Sketch plans for a new school have been approved by my department, subject to certain amendments.
(2) Caherconlish: The County Limerick Vocational Education Committee proposed to my Department that the erection of a three-roomed school be sanctioned. Since, however, three-roomed schools have not been found suitable and adequate where full-time day courses for boys and girls are conducted, the Committee have been asked to re-examine the question of the accommodation to be provided and to consider whether a four-roomed school would be warranted at this centre.
City of Limerick:
(1) Schools of Commerce, Music and Art: Working drawings and specifications submitted for the adaptation of the former County Infirmary premises are at present under examination. It is hoped shortly to convey a decision thereon to the City of Limerick Vocational Education Committee.
(2) Extension and renovation of the Technical Institute: Definite proposals in regard to this project have not yet been submitted by the Committee
