Vol. 188 No. 8

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business in the following order: No. 9. It is not proposed that the consideration of Government business be interrupted at the time fixed for Private Members' Business.

Can the Taoiseach say when he proposes to deal with No. 12 on the Order Paper, the Civil Liability Bill?

Not this week anyway. A great deal depends on the progress we make. It is intended to dispose of it in this session.

Is it not a Committee Bill? Would the Taoiseach not consider having the Second Stage, which would really be a formality, some time in the near future, and then having a Committee to deal with it?

I shall consider it.

The same might apply to No. 17, the Defamation Bill.

I shall consider it.
