Vol. 188 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Glencullen (Mayo) Forestry Workers.

7.

asked the Minister for Lands if, as reported, only seven men are engaged at the State forest in Glencullen, Ballycastle, County Mayo; and if this number will be increased in the near future.

There are nine men at present employed at Glencullen property of Ballycastle Forest. The staff will be increased to ten men within the next week or so, and it is expected that this number will be sufficient to deal with the programme of work being undertaken at the property in the coming year. There are 30 men employed in Ballycastle Forest as a whole.
