Vol. 189 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tralee School.

33.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware of the urgent need for a new national school at the Spa, Tralee, County Kerry; and, if so, if he will state the present position of the proposal to erect a new school.

My Department has sanctioned a grant towards the cost of erecting a new national school at the Spa, Tralee, County Kerry.

It will be necessary to have working drawings and a specification prepared before tenders can be invited. These preliminary arrangements will be made by the Commissioners of Public Works. I understand that due to the large volume of work on hands some time will elapse before the Commissioners will be in a position to undertake the preparation of the detailed drawings.
