Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Finance if he will indicate the goods purchased for Government Departments which must be purchased by the Office of Public Works in the first instance.

The following are the principal classes of the goods purchased by the Office of Public Works:—

(i) Furniture, furnishings and utensils, including office and household furniture and equipment etc., curtains, linoleum and carpets, beds and bedding (excluding textiles and blankets).

(ii) Solid fuel comprising turf, coal, coke, anthracite and firewood.

(iii) Building and engineering supplies.

(iv) Gardening tools.
