Vol. 190 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Conveyance of Prisoners from Limerick Courts.

32.

asked the Minister for Justice what procedure is adopted for the provision of motor cars to convey prisoners from Limerick City and County courts to various prisons in the country.

Police cars or hackney cars are used for this purpose.

Where a hackney car is required and a choice of suitable traders is available the selection is made by the local Garda officer from the traders who quote the most favourable terms.
