Vol. 190 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Fish Imports.

3.

asked the Taoiseach if he will state the quantity and value of (a) fresh fish, (b) salted fish, (c) smoked fish and (d) tinned fish imported during each of the years ended 31st March, 1957 to 1961, inclusive, and the names and addresses of the importers concerned.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report a statement showing quantity and value of fresh, chilled or frozen fish; dried, salted or smoked fish; tinned fish and shellfish imported in each of the years ended 31st March, 1957 to 1961, inclusive. It is not the practice of this Office to furnish information which might disclose the business of individual concerns; consequently, it is not possible to supply the names and addresses of the importers concerned as requested by the Deputy.

Following is the statement:—
