15.

andMr. McQuillan asked the Minister for External Affairs if he has seen the recent indication by the Indian Premier that India would welcome Ireland at the neutral summit meeting which is to take place in Yugoslavia; if so, whether the Government has received an official invitation to this meeting; and whether the Government will accept the invitation.

16.

asked the Minister for External Affairs if an invitation has yet been received by this country to the proposed neutral summit conference in Yugoslavia next September; and, if so, what decision has been taken in the matter.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions 15 and 16 together.

I have seen the Press reports referred to in the first part of Question No. 15 but we have not received an invitation to attend the proposed conference.

Does the Minister propose to take the initiative in the matter and seek one?
