A compulsory purchase order for the acquisition of the land in the Castleisland Pound Lane clearance area was received in my Department on 18th May and a decision thereon will be issued without delay. The question of the use of the land for housing or otherwise will not arise unless and until it has been acquired by the county council under the appropriate legal procedure.
