asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will state in expansion of a reply of 4th May, 1961 (regarding claims for Social Welfare Disability Benefit) the number of claims from insured persons with (a) one adult dependant, (b) one adult and one child dependant, (c) one adult dependant and two children, (d) one adult dependant and three children, (e) child dependants only, and (f) other claims and the total number of claims for insured persons; and if the information is not readily available if he will furnish the particulars based on a sample.

The information required by the Deputy is as follows:

ESTIMATED Distribution of Disability Benefit claims paid in 1959/60 (based on a sample).

(a) Number of claims from insured persons with one adult dependant

(b) Number of claims from insured persons with one adult and one child dependant

7,000

(c) Number of claims from insured persons with one adult dependant and two children

(d) Number of claims from insured persons with one adult dependant and three children

(e) Number of claims from insured persons with child dependant only
