Vol. 191 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Offaly New Schools.

25.

asked the Minister for Education what the position is regarding the provision of new national schools at Cloghan, Shannonharbour and Bunn, County Offaly.

The position in regard to each of these schools is as follows: —

Cloghan:

Sketch plans for the proposed new school are being prepared by the Commissioners of Public Works and will be forwarded to the reverend manager at an early date.

Shannon Harbour:

My Department has sanctioned a grant towards the cost of erecting a new national school. It will now be necessary for the Commissioners to prepare working drawings preparatory to the invitation of tenders. I understand that owing to the volume of work they have on hands it will take some considerable time to complete these drawings.

Bunn:

Sketch plans for the proposed new school are being prepared by the Commissioners and will be forwarded to the reverend manager when completed.
