Vol. 191 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Owenabue (Cork) River Valley Reclamation.

18.

asked the Minister for Finance whether in view of the estimated low cost per acre he will arrange for the reclamation of the Owenabue river valley from Crossbarry to the tidal waters at Carrigaline, thus bringing hundreds of acres into productivity as well as relieving damage by periodic flooding of marginal lands.

It is intended to improve the drainage of the Owenabue River and it is listed, under the name of the Ballinhassig catchment area, for treatment as a minor catchment in the main arterial drainage programme.
