Vol. 191 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Landings in Kuwait by British Troops.

8.

andMr. McQuillan asked the Minister for External Affairs whether the Irish Delegation to UNO proposes to support the protest made against the land, sea and air landings in Kuwait by British troops.

There is no motion regarding Kuwait before the United Nations. I do not see how a mere protest directed at any of the parties involved would help to achieve what must remain our principal objective: that of promoting peaceful and co-operative relations between Kuwait and her neighbours and between all the States in the Middle East.
