andMr. McQuillan asked the Taoiseach if in view of the prolonged delay in the disposal of Powerscourt House and Demesne he will consider entering into consultation with the leaders of the trade union movement in Ireland to see whether by joint action, using Government funds and a part of the trade union reserve funds, the house and gardens could be purchased for use as a workers' residential college or recreation centre or for other similar purposes of advantage to the workers of Dublin and their families.

The answer is in the negative.
