Vol. 191 No. 8

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Irish Whiskey Sales at Shannon Airport.

17.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power the value of Irish whiskey sold at Shannon Airport in the year ended 30th April, 1961.

The total receipts from sales of Irish whiskey at Shannon Airport in the year ended 30th April, 1961, amounted to £78,834. Included in this total are sales of duty-free whiskey for export amounting to £70,808.

Why does the Minister answer this question about sales from Shannon Airport and he would not answer the question I put down this week about sales by C.I.E.

That is a different matter.

Because he did not have the information.

The information should be available to the Minister. I shall put the question down again next week to give him an opportunity of answering it.
