Land Commission statistics are not compiled by reference to districts such as North Tipperary. In relation to Co. Tipperary as a whole, however, the information requested is set out in a tabular statement which I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate with the Official Report.
Following is the statement:—
The position regarding lands in the possession of the Land Commission is subject to constant fluctuation, depending on progress on intake and allotment of land. Apart from turbary, small residues of allotted estates and lands surrendered by migrants, estates at present on hands for division in County Tipperary are as follows:—

It is not yet possible to indicate when allotment of these estates will take place but every effort is being made — in Co. Tipperary, as elsewhere — to expedite the disposal of acquired lands. Since 1st April, 1960, a total of upwards of 1,500 acres has been distributed amongst 93 allottees in Co. Tipperary.
