Vol. 191 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Scheduling of Iveragh Peninsula as Tourist Area.

10.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce why the Iveragh Peninsula, including the whole district west of a line drawn from Kenmare to Killorglin, is not scheduled as a major tourist area; and if he will ensure that this important tourist area is so scheduled in order to qualify for various development grants.

The selection of the localities to be included in the scheme for the development of major tourist resorts is a matter for Bord Fáilte Éireann, and any enquiries the Deputy wishes to make about particular cases should be addressed to the Board.
