Vol. 191 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin and Shannon Airports: Deficits or Surpluses.

25.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power whether in relation to allegations made during the debate on the Estimates for his Department that unjustifiable deficits were being incurred in running Dublin and Shannon Airports, he will state the trend of change in the average net cost per passenger passing through (a) each airport and (b) the two airports taken together, for the periods 1954/55 to 1956/57 and 1957/58 to 1960/61, inclusive, indicating the deficits or surpluses (i) including operational expenses only and (ii) including depreciation and interest on State capital.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to circulate in the Official Report tabular statements setting out the information sought by the Deputy.
