asked the Minister for Transport and Power the profits or losses of Aerlínte in each of the first five years, including depreciation and interest charges.

Aerlínte commenced Transatlantic operations on the 28th April, 1958. Debit balances on Operating and Profit and Loss Account, after charging depreciation and interest on loans were as follows:

This expenditure should be regarded as in the nature of development expenditure which is inevitably associated with the introduction of a new project.
