Vol. 191 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land for Housing Purposes in Kildare.

13.

asked the Minister for Local Government the number of compulsory purchase orders which he has recently received from the Kildare County Council in respect of the acquisition of land for housing purposes, and the present position in respect of each such order.

Two orders in respect of the compulsory acquisition of land for housing purposes have recently been submitted to my Department by Kildare County Council. Objections have been received in each case. I expect to be in a position to determine one order very shortly. In the other case an inquiry will be necessary and arrangements are being made accordingly.

Will the Minister say the areas for which schemes have been received?

I could not give them offhand, but I shall convey the information to the Deputy personally, if he wishes.
