Vol. 191 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Valuation of Reconstructed Buildings.

5.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that the present system of valuation of buildings is holding up reconstruction work, as the valuations of some reconstructed buildings have been increased excessively; and, if so, if the Commissioners of Valuation will consider changing the system of valuation so that only the addition, and not the old building, will be valued.

I would refer the Deputy to the reply which I gave on 13th December, 1960, to a similar question tabled by Deputy P.J. Burke.
