asked the Minister for Lands the amount of the increased acreage of lands available for the development of forestry in County Wicklow during the past three years.

The total area acquired by my Department for State Forestry purposes in County Wicklow in the past three years was 5,397 acres. In the same period, new plantations totalling 5,336 acres were established in the county.

48.

asked the Minister for Lands what is the acreage of land on offer for nursery purposes in the Aughrim and Ballinglen areas, County Wicklow.

The total area on offer to my Department for nursery purposes in this part of Co. Wicklow is 417 acres. No decision has yet been reached about the acquisition of any of these areas but further investigations are in progress.
