asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware that there is a dead slow sign on land reclamation; and if he will explain why.

There is no slowing down of activities. In fact the acreage and amount of grants approved during the past twelve months exceeded those of previous years and the provision of £1,750,000 in the Agriculture Vote for grants in the present financial year is the greatest ever.
