Vol. 192 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Conciliation and Arbitration Machinery for Nurses.

1.

asked the Minister for Health whether in view of the resolution passed by the Dublin Health Authority on 2nd November, he will set up conciliation and arbitration machinery to deal with remuneration and conditions of service of nurses employed by local authorities.

I have for some time past had under examination the special position of nursing staffs by reason of the circumstances and nature of their work. When that examination is completed in the near future, I shall consider how the difficulties peculiar to this particular branch of the public service can best be resolved.
