Vol. 192 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Provision of Transport to Ballingeary (County Cork) National School.

151.

asked the Minister for Education whether he will provide transport for some of the children attending Ballingeary national school, County Cork; and, if so, if he will indicate the townlands to be covered by such transport.

My Department has been examining the feasibility of establishing a State-aided transport service for some of the children attending Ballingeary national school and it hopes to be in a position shortly to address a further communication to the Reverend Manager in regard to the matter. It would appear from the investigations made so far that the area most likely to satisfy the conditions governing the granting of State aid is that comprising the townlands mainly to the north-west of the school.
