*The County Meath section of the constituency consists of the Dispensary Districts of Ballyboggan and Innfield and portions of the Dispensary Districts of Athboy, Summerhill, and Dunboyne. The particulars given are for the area comprising the five dispensary districts as the information is not available in respect of the exact section of the constituency.
A revision of the general medical services register in County Westmeath was carried ou in 1961; this was the first revision since 1957 and accounts for the proportionately large number of medical cards withdrawn.
Of the 20 cards withdrawn in the Meath section of the constituency, 16 were accounted for by deaths and departures from the area of the card holders, and 4 by improved circumstances.
Of the 169 cards withdrawn in the Westmeath section of the constituency 67 were due to deaths and departures and 102 to altered circumstances.
