Vol. 193 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wexford River Flooding

72.

asked the Minister for Finance if, further to a reply of 11th April, 1961, on the subject of the flooding of the Assaly River at Killinick, County Wexford, he will state what progress has been made with the surveying of this river since last April; and whether in view of the fact that the flooding along the river has been considerably worse this winter he will take steps to ensure that its drainage is undertaken as soon as possible.

Good progress has been made but further field investigation is needed and it will be a few months yet before it can be said whether a satisfactory drainage scheme can be prepared.
