Vol. 193 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Death Certificates.

4.

asked the Minister for Health the yearly average number of death certificates issued by the Registrar General's Office during the past five years, and the percentage of such certificates issued to applicants from Great Britain.

The average number of death certificates issued annually by Oifig an Árd-Chláraitheora over the past five years is approximately 2,350.

A separate record is not kept of the certificates issued to applicants from Great Britain and, accordingly, it would not be possible without undertaking an extensive enquiry, which I would not consider justified, to state the percentage of the total number of certificates so issued.
