Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Grants by Foras Tionscal.

35.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state in respect of each industry for which a grant was approved by An Foras Tionscal in the year ended 31st March, 1961 (a) the employment content in the industry, (b) whether production is for export only, and (c) the estimated value of total production and of production for export only in the industry.

36.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the number of industrial undertakings which received grants under (a) the Undeveloped Areas Acts and (b) the Industrial Grants Acts during the year 1960-61, which are now in full production.

38.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state, in respect of each county and county borough, in the form of a table as given on page 8 of the report of An Foras Tionscal for the year ended March 31st, 1961, the number of applications received for grants, the number of applications approved, the number of applications rejected and the number of applications under examination, up to the latest date for which such information is available in the year 1961-62.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 35, 36, and 38 together.

I do not consider it desirable that I should ask An Foras Tionscal to furnish information other than that included in the annual report or in advance of publication of the report.
