Vol. 194 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Wicklow Water and Sewerage Facilities.

51.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware of the urgent need for adequate water and sewerage facilities at Redford, Wyndgates, Blacklion, Greystones, County Wicklow; and at Delgany, County Wicklow; and if his Department is aware if any proposals exist for the provision of these services.

I am not so aware. I understand that adequate water supply and sewerage services are already available in the Blacklion, Greystones and Delgany areas. In the Redford and Wyndgates areas piped water supplies are available but the pressure at Wyndgates is not entirely adequate owing to the high level of the area. No proposals have been submitted to my Department for the provision of sewerage facilities in the latter areas, or for the extension of the existing services.
