Vol. 195 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Medical Officer for Ballylinan (Laois).

19.

asked the Minister for Health when a permanent medical officer will be appointed to the Ballylinan district of County Laois.

Applications for the permanent office of district medical officer, Ballylinan dispensary district, were invited by the Local Appointments Commission on the 2nd March, 1962. A permanent appointment will be made by the local authority in due course on receipt of a recommendation from the Commission.

Could the Minister say what is the average length of time between notification of a dispensary vacancy to the Local Appointments Commissioners and publication of the appropriate advertisement for applicacations?

I should like to have notice of that question. It is rather complicated.
