Vol. 195 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Manufacture of Sharpening Stones.

62.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will reconsider giving a grant for modernising the manufacture of sharpening stones in the Glenfarne area in County Leitrim in order to meet the increased demand for these products and to assist the development of an export trade.

As I have already told the Deputy in a previous reply, grants for industrial development are available in accordance with the provisions of the Undeveloped Areas Acts, 1952 and 1957, and the Industrial Grants Act, 1959. These Acts are administered by An Foras Tionscal to whom persons seeking grants for industrial development should make application.
